Chase Ford signed off Vikings practice squad by Ravens
By Dan Zinski
Chase Ford was gone then he was back again and now he’s gone probably for good.
On Tuesday the Baltimore Ravens gave Ford a great opportunity, signing him off the Vikings practice squad and adding him to their 53-man roster.
The Vikings signed TE Dominique Jones to replace Ford on the practice squad.
Ford was released by the Vikings last week to make way for CB Josh Robinson, who was finally activated after spending the first nine weeks on PUP.
Ford cleared waivers and was added to the Vikings practice squad. But then Baltimore came calling.

Ford finishes his Vikings tenure with 391 yards on 34 receptions with one touchdown. He posted zero stats in 2015 after somewhat surprisingly making the roster.
And what about this new guy Dominique Jones? To say he’s been around a bit would be an understatement.
The official list of professional teams Jones has played for since 2011:
Sacramento Mountain Lions (2011)
Reading Express (2012)
Indianapolis Colts (2012)
Miami Dolphins (2012)
Indianapolis Colts (2012–2013)
Kansas City Chiefs (2013)
Buffalo Bills (2014)
Denver Broncos (2014–2015)
Baltimore Ravens (2015)
New York Giants (2015)
Minnesota Vikings (2015–present)
Jones has spent most of his NFL time on practice squads but he did get in a few games with Indianapolis where he posted all his career stats: three receptions for 42 yards.
Jones also played in two games for the Chiefs and one for Denver, posting no stats.
The 6-3, 270-pound Jones played his college ball for Division II Shepherd University.
