It was 27-13 in the fourth quarter and the Vikings were driving deep into Green Bay territory with a chance to score a TD and put themselves in position for a possible comeback win.

Norv Turner dialed up a delayed hand-off to Adrian Peterson on first-and-ten. Peterson broke through the first level and was on his way to a big gain when this happened.

Peterson’s fumble pretty much put a fork in the Vikings for the day. Green Bay would go on to extend their lead to 30-13 and Minnesota would not even get close to scoring again.

It was a frustrating day for Peterson all around. The running back was only able to manage 45 yards on 13 carries and his poor pass protection forced Turner to pull him off the field in some situations late in the game.

Peterson has been a big part of the Vikings’ run to relevance but yesterday, with the Vikings looking to move up another level, he flat-out wet the bed.
