4. Terence Newman

Terence Newman was great for the Vikings two weeks ago against Oakland, picking off two passes including one in the end zone to seal the win.

Yesterday against the Packers Newman was the opposite of good.

In one of the game’s key plays, Newman was called for an egregious pass interference penalty against Jeff Janis.

Newman’s failure to turn his head around resulted in his jumping right into Janis, leading to an easy call for officials.

That play resulted in a 50-yard gain for Green Bay, setting up the score that sent the Packers into halftime leading 16-6.

It’s amazing how quickly Terence Newman went from being surprisingly good for such an old man to just an old man.
