Minnesota Vikings: Barr, Smith, Joseph ruled out for Thursday (Report)
By Dan Zinski
The Minnesota Vikings will reportedly be without star defensive players Anthony Barr, Harrison Smith and Linval Joseph Thursday when they visit Arizona.
It wasn’t very pretty watching the Vikings’ defense try to perform Sunday without its top three players, Anthony Barr, Linval Joseph and Harrison Smith.
Fans hoping the trio would get back on the field for Thursday’s huge game in Arizona are apparently not going to get their wish.
According to a report by KFAN, the Vikings have already ruled out Smith, Barr and Joseph for Thursday’s game.
And just to make matters slightly worse, Minnesota has also ruled out backup safety Antone Exum, who reportedly suffered a broken rib early in Sunday’s debacle against Seattle.

The opening minutes of the Seattle game were absolutely devastating for the Vikings’ defense, with Exum, Barr and Smith all getting injured. Exum was able to tough it out for the rest of the game.
Linval Joseph of course suffered an injured foot against Atlanta and will now miss his second straight game.
I don’t know what exactly the Vikings are going to do with the safety position, with Smith and Exum both out and Andrew Sendejo still nursing a bad knee.
Mike Zimmer may have to dream up a new no-safety defense for Thursday’s game.
With Barr, Joseph and Smith out, the Vikings’ defense surrendered 38 points to the Seattle Seahawks. And now they have to visit the league’s top scoring team with those three men still out.
On the bright side, at least we don’t have to worry about Carson Palmer running like Russell Wilson.
Oh, and the Vikings’ offense is still a mess. This is getting less fun by the day.
