150 1/2 career sacks. Eight Pro Bowl selections. Three first-team All-Pro selections.

That kind of resume will get you in the Hall of Fame every time.

Doleman was selected by the Vikings out of Pitt with the fourth overall pick in the 1985 draft.

Doleman struggled early as an OLB in the Vikings’ 3-4 scheme but when the Vikes switched to 4-3 and put Doleman at defensive end, the struggles turned around immediately.

Chris would quickly develop into one of the most-feared sack artists in the NFL, racking up a career-high 21 in 1989.

Teamed with great D-linemen like Henry Thomas, John Randle and Keith Millard, Doleman helped re-establish the great tradition first started by the Purple People Eaters.

The Hall of Fame came calling for Doleman in 2012.
