10. Adrian Peterson
Peterson was a superstar at Oklahoma but concerns about his health caused some teams to shy away from him early in the 2007 draft.
Brad Childress and the Vikings had no worries about Peterson’s durability and took him with the no. 7 overall selection.
Peterson had instant impact for the Vikings, rushing for 1,341 yards his rookie season including an NFL-record 296 in a single game. Peterson was instrumental to the Vikings’ playoff run a few years later with some guy named Favre at QB.
In 2012, Peterson became one of only seven men in NFL history to surpass 2,000 yards rushing. He finished just nine yards shy of breaking Eric Dickerson’s single-season record.
Peterson is still going strong in 2015 and hopes that this is the year he finally leads the Vikings all the way to the Super Bowl.
