Minnesota Vikings: Top 30 draft picks in franchise history
By Dan Zinski
24. Milt Sunde
Milt Sunde was a Minnesota man all the way, attending high school in Bloomington and going to college at the University of Minnesota.
The Vikings kept Sunde in-state when they drafted him in 1964 with their final pick, the 271st overall.
Clearly nobody thought all that much of Sunde coming out of college but he ended up exceeding expectations, playing 11 years with the Vikings first at left guard and later at right guard.
In 1966 Sunde made his first and only Pro Bowl.
The Vikings took 18 players ahead of Sunde in 1964 and most of them never got close to making a Pro Bowl.
