Minnesota Vikings vs. Packers flexed to Sunday night

Minnesota Vikings vs. Green Bay Packers has been flexed to Sunday night according to NBC.

The Vikings are getting it done in prime time tonight – big shocker I know! – and they will officially have a chance to get it done in prime time next week as well.

There had been speculation that the Vikings-Packers game scheduled for next Sunday would be flexed to a night game but now it’s been announced: the game has indeed been flexed.

Vikings-Packers from Lambeau Field will wrap up the regular season and the team that wins will carry away the NFC North crown.

Of course by the time that game rolls around, the Vikings will have already wrapped up a playoff spot by defeating the Giants in Minnesota.

At the time of this posting the Vikes are ahead 32-10 so we can safely assume they will win.

The Packers themselves have already locked down a playoff spot so next week’s game is merely for divisional bragging rights and playoff seeding.

Now some of you are going to come with the take that the Vikings would be better off losing next week’s game in order to start the playoffs with a road trip to Washington rather than having to host Seattle.

Over-think those playoff scenarios! What a fun week it will be for everyone with their awesome takes.

Me, I sort of think if you aren’t good enough to beat an okay Seattle team at home, you surely aren’t good enough to beat Arizona or Carolina on the road. So you might as well bow out in the first round anyway.

In case you’re wondering, the temperature in Green Bay next Sunday is expected to be around 30 degrees. So forget about Ice Bowl conditions.

It’s good that the Vikes are getting experience playing in prime time. They will need it if they want to become a truly big time team.
