Minnesota Vikings at Green Bay Packers: Week 17 game review

The Interesting
- Commercials for The Biggest Loser during Sunday Night Football. So, I’ve got my pizza and a bag of chips sitting next to me as I’m watching the Minnesota Vikings take on the Packers and NBC decides to run an advertisement for The Biggest Loser. All of a sudden, my junk food doesn’t look so good anymore.
- I still can’t stand listening to Cris Collinsworth. I thought one week away from hearing his voice would help me be able to cope with listening to his horrible color commentary, but I was wrong. He is the lone reason why I hate when the Vikings get a Sunday Night Football game.
- The timing couldn’t be better. As some readers know, I have another passion other than the Minnesota Vikings. I’m a rabid fan of AMC’s The Walking Dead. Luckily, the two games that the Minnesota Vikings played on Sunday night came when the show was on their midseason break for season 6. Jackpot!
- Green Bay’s punter is going to have big self-esteem issues. Tim Masthay has an awful punt earlier in the game. After that, the Packers decided to go for it on 4th down so often that he has to feel like poop for having such a poor punt earlier. I don’t usually feel sorry for guys, but I pity Masthay a bit.
- I love that “participation trophy” commercial. Kia hit the nail on the head with their commercial for the new Sorento about creating a winning attitude. Champions should be celebrated, not treated like another one of the back and have their achievements overlooked. Bravo, Kia.
