Overall Impressions
Overall, this was a completely different game from the first meeting. The Minnesota Vikings defense did everything right, only allowing one touchdown and 10 total points in this game. Sadly, the Vikings offense couldn’t do their part, putting zero points on the board and relying on the leg of Blair Walsh to score every single point.
It will be the Blair Walsh missed field goal at the end of the game that will be played over and over on tv, but there were so many opportunities for Minnesota in this game to score touchdowns, convert 3rd downs and secure the football, but they didn’t happen. This was a team effort where everything just fell short for the Vikings and Seattle was able to come up big when they needed to.

The Minnesota Vikings season has come to a close and while it’s a sad ending, the big picture is that the young team exceeded most fans and experts expectations this season, showing that they have the potential to be a team that can contend for many, many years in their division as well as in the playoffs.
Even as I’m sitting here writing this, I’m still stunned. This will be a tough loss to get over, but I need to remember that so many players on this team are so young and show a lot of promise. As Zimmer continues to develop this team and players grow into his systems, I have faith that this team will continue to get better.
SKOL Vikings and thank you, Minnesota for a great season.
