Minnesota Vikings: Art of 3 alumni in U.S. Bank Stadium

The artwork of three former members of the Minnesota Vikings franchise will be on display in U.S. Bank Stadium when it opens for the 2016 NFL season.

With so much excitement surrounding the Minnesota Vikings following a successful 2015 season, it will be a big change for the team moving from a temporary outdoor stadium at the University of Minnesota’s TCF Bank Stadium to the billion-dollar state-of-the-art U.S. Bank Stadium.

There has been a lot of news surrounding the facility, including new partnerships and sponsors as well as attractions like the large viking ship outside the stadium with a video screen for a sail. However, one of the coolest things for fans in Minnesota might just be the tie the team’s history inside.

According to a post on the Vikings.com website, three Minnesota Vikings players will have pieces of their art on display in the facility. It had been previously announced that Carl Eller would have some pieces available for viewing in U.S. Bank Stadium, but now Matt Blair and Jim Marshall will join him in showing off artistic ability.

Blair is a known photographer as well as a former linebacker for the Vikings. Meanwhile, Jim Marshall is known for his drawing ability, having frequently drawn an eagle on his equipment. Marshall will recreate that bird and
