The 2016 NFL schedule was released on April 14, 2016. Here is who the Minnesota Vikings will play this year during the preseason and regular season.
Fans hoping to see the Minnesota Vikings this season can start scheduling their trips and booking their hotel rooms, as the 2016 NFL regular season was released today. The team will have plenty of opportunities to put their skills on display, having several nationally televised games this year.
Expectations are high for Minnesota, as the Vikings won the NFC North during the 2015 season and hope to repeat that feat this coming season. Of course, the major goal will be to win some playoff games and put themselves in position to reach the Super Bowl.
Here is the complete schedule for the Minnesota Vikings during the 2016 preseason and regular season (all in Central time). Of course, keep in mind that the dates at the end of the year are subject to change due to game flexing options:
PRESEASON
- Aug 12-6:30 @ Cincinnati Bengals
- Aug 18-9:00 @ Seattle Seahawks
- Aug 28-noon vs. San Diego Chargers
- Sept 1-7:00 pm vs. Los Angeles Rams
REGULAR SEASON
Here is the tweet from the Star Tribune’s Minnesota Vikings beat reporter Matt Vensel showing the regular season schedule:
Hopefully, there will be some postseason dates to include, but first the Minnesota Vikings will need to take care of their business against the 16 regular season opponents and earn the right to a playoff berth. From the look of this schedule, it won’t be easy for the Vikings to repeat as NFC North champions, but the team will likely be up to the task with head coach Mike Zimmer at the helm.
