#26: Seattle Seahawks – Andrew Billings, DT Baylor

  • I can almost hear the Packers fans swearing as I mock Billings to Seattle. This is a guy who would have been an earlier selection in just about any draft and is an elite run stopper in the middle of any defensive line of any formation. Billings helps Seattle’s already strong defense and makes them an even bigger NFC threat.

#27: Green Bay Packers – Jarran Reed, DT Alabama

  • Yes, they missed out on Billings, but Reed isn’t a bad consolation prize. Sadly, this isn’t Green Bay’s biggest need, but there isn’t a worthy middle linebacker to be selected at this point and the value rests with picking one of the deepest positions in the draft. Heck, Packers fans might even boo this pick until they see him on the field.

#28: Kansas City Chiefs – Corey Coleman, WR Baylor

  • Coleman is one of those prospects that might surprise people on draft day by being a top 15 pick. Then again, he might even slide into the second round. However. Kansas City needs to continue to stockpile weapons for Alex Smith to help that offense be able to stay in games and match their stingy, tough defense.

#29: Arizona Cardinals – Vonn Bell, S Ohio State

  • The Cardinals don’t mind undersized players who can play much bigger than their physical stature. Bell might be passed over by a lot of teams because of his size, but his talent and levels of aggression make him a perfect for the Cardinals defense, as they can take one step closer to being Super Bowl contenders.

#30: Carolina Panthers – Kevin Dodd, DE Clemson

  • Jared Allen didn’t get to be an asset for the Panthers for too long, but they can hope to get some of that style of play from Clemson defensive end Kevin Dodd. However, with the recent news of Josh Norman becoming a free agent, the Panthers may instead look to draft a cornerback if they can’t come to terms with the breakout defender.

#31: Denver Broncos – Connor Cook, QB Michigan State

  • Denver can’t feel good about moving forward with “Butt Fumble” and need to look into a quarterback. Cook might be a work in progress, but Mark Sanchez should be able to hold down fort long enough for the team to prepare cook for action. It’s time for Denver to break down and start over after a Super Bowl win, and Cook might not be a bad guy to hitch that wagon to.
