According to Vikings.com, the two signed players bring the number of individuals on the roster to 90, which is the maximum number that a team can have available. Now, Vikings fans know who to expect to watch during preseason, but there is still the matter of learning about the two new faces.

Here are the two individuals signed by the Minnesota Vikings today and a little bit of information about the football backgrounds of the players:

CB Tre Roberson, Illinois State

  • After being a quarterback for the Redbirds, Robinson changed positions and will be a defensive back for the Minnesota Vikings. In his 5 years at quarterback, he threw for 7,879 yards and tossed in 68 touchdowns while throwing 30 interceptions. He also showed athleticism while there, rushing for 2788 yards on 500 carries for 32 touchdowns.

WR Troy Stoudermire, Minnesota

  • Stoudermire left the Golden Gophers as the NCAA’s all-time leader in kickoff return yards and was designated as a wide receiver. After changing to cornerback, the young man went to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, where he remained a defensive back. However, the Minnesota Vikings will be trying the young man out as a wide receiver and likely see what he has to offer as a return man.
