#5: Adam Thielen getting more offensive time

One of the best stories in recent history is the rise of Adam Thielen from undrafted free agent to Mr. Mankato to special teams ace to regular wide receiver.

More from The Viking Age

The idea of a kid from Minnesota growing and developing with the team into a guy who can contribute to a team in so many ways is fantastic. Now, it looks as though Thielen could be getting more and more opportunities as a wide receiver with the Minnesota Vikings.

It is unclear where these offensive snaps will come from though. First round draft pick Laquon Treadwell is looking for a starting role, the team needs to see what Cordarrelle Patterson has, and there are still guys like Charles Johnson, Jarius Wright, and 2015 breakout Stefon Diggs who will see action.

Still, the team is seeing production when Thielen is on the field. His reliable play, willingness to block, and tight route running has the Minnesota Vikings looking up and down their depth charts wondering just where Thielen will fit, but he has definitely done enough to earn more reps on offense.
