David Morgan is a young tight end for the Minnesota Vikings who is looking up veteran Kyle Rudolph to help him become a more complete player.

When the Minnesota Vikings used a sixth round draft pick on University of Texas-San Antonio tight end David Morgan, many fans were confused since the roster already had a load of talent at the position.

After seeing more from Morgan, fans started to understand. The excellent blocker with soft hands has impressed so far during his time with the Vikings and is constantly making efforts to improve his game.

Recently, David Morgan sat down with DailyTrib.com to discuss his time with the Vikings and what his next step is. Of course. one of the first things he did was express his joy for being part of the undefeated Minnesota team.

"“I’ve been doing this the best I can,” he said. “I’m very thankful to be a part of the Vikings.”"

The only thing that can be asked of anyone is to do the best they can. Morgan is one of those players who will likely never need to be questioned when it comes to level of effort or intensity. However, picking up on the finer techniques is something he’s been talking to teammate Kyle Rudolph about.

More from The Viking Age

"“I really look up to that guy,” he said. “I can go to him with any questions or any help I need. I’m thankful for that guy.”"

On a team with so much talent at tight end, it’s been difficult for Morgan to get a piece of the action, but the young man knows that opportunities will come and that patience and hard work will pay off…and it doesn’t hurt to have a 5-0 record through 6 weeks of the NFL season.

"“Obviously, I’m excited about the (Vikings),” Morgan said. “It’s really cool to be the last one standing. You’re going to get everybody’s best. We want to keep rolling.”"

Minnesota Vikings fans should be excited about David Morgan. He will have an opportunity to grow and develop on a talented team and provide depth when needed until his number is called upon for a bigger role. Best of luck to Morgan going forward.
