Even though the Minnesota Vikings are struggling in a big way, fans of the team need to be pleased with what they’ve seen from wide receiver Stefon Diggs.
It’s hard to be happy after the Minnesota Vikings lost their fourth consecutive game. Now, they have lost the top spot in the NFC North to the Detroit Lions and may be without another offensive tackle for the remainder of the 2016 NFL season.
But that doesn’t mean that news is all bad. There were some good things that happened during the November 13, 2016 week 10 contest against the Washington Redskins. And the one huge thing that should be taken away from this game: Stefon Diggs is amazing.
Quarterback Sam Bradford targeted Diggs 15 times during this game with the young wide receiver hauling in 13 of them for 164 yards. This puts Diggs in the NFL record book as the only wide receiver in NFL history to catch 13 or more passes in back to back games.
With the fantastic performance and record, Stefon Diggs should have been happy with his return to Maryland, which is considered a homecoming since his home of Alexandria, Virginia is less than a half hour drive from FedEx Field. However, Diggs was more focused on the outcome of the game than his own personal accomplishment during the game according to Vikings.com.

"“It hurt a little bit, you know, because that’s my family,” Diggs said of his return home. “I want to win for them and I want to win for this team. I want to do anything I can. It’s back to the drawing board to continue to work hard. The love and support back home means a lot. I wish I could have brought home a (win).”"
And a win would desperately help to change the attitude in the locker room of the Minnesota Vikings. After suffering their fourth loss, the tone among the players and coaches is likely a somber one. But Diggs says the fight is still there and that starts with Mike Zimmer.
"“We’re not going to lose any fight in us. That’s how we are and how our head coach is.”"
