Former Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Randy Moss had an interesting response when a fan asked him to help rookie Laquon Treadwell hone his craft.
Randy Moss has a big place in Minnesota Vikings history. The explosive wide receiver has a very impressive highlight reel during his time with the team starting with his impressive rookie season and setting franchise records.
Fans want to see that same kind of success from rookie Laquon Treadwell. However, so far the team’s first round draft pick hasn’t been able to make a big impact on the team, sitting out some games while only reeling in one catch on three targets.
The question of what has been holding him back has baffled fans. That patience got even thinner today when a somewhat cryptic tweet from the official twitter account of Randy Moss implied he reached out to the young man.
Here is the conversation from Twitter:
There are several interesting things here. Moss’ use of the word ‘tried’ is what is difficult to understand.

It is possible that Moss has reached out to the team and was denied. There’s also a chance that he has worked out with Treadwell, but didn’t get the desired results. Or it is possible that something else happened between the Vikings, Moss, and Treadwell to warrant this response.
Until more details about this situation emerge, fans shouldn’t jump to judgement. There is no way of knowing from this tweet what happened or why Moss worded his response in the way that he did.
Moss has been promoting his Randy Moss Academy pretty hard over the past couple of days and is trying to stir up athletes to assist in the improvement their game. His call for players or teams to contact him has led to fans making a ton of suggestions for him. And Laquon Treadwell was just one of them.
