Two players from the Minnesota Vikings were named to the Pro Football Focus Pro Bowl roster based on their performance during the 2016 NFL season.
There are many players from the Minnesota Vikings that are having great seasons. The team has one of the best defenses in the NFL as well as some explosive weapons on the offensive side of the ball.
While not the official Pro Bowl, Pro Football Focus put together a roster of players based on their scores and positions who they feel should be invited to the NFL’s version of an all-star game and two players from the Vikings made the cut.
Here are the players from Minnesota who Pro Football Focus named to their Pro Bowl team based on their performance grades and position during the 2017 NFL season according to the PFF website:
Terence Newman, cornerback

It’s absolutely amazing how effective Newman is at his age. He’s been matched up against some of the speediest, tallest, and most dynamic receivers in the NFL and held his own. The only question is how much longer he can keep it up.

There is no denying the impact that Harrison Smith has on the Vikings defense. Not only is he a solid last line of defense, but he can be used in pass rush situations as well as dropping back in coverage. He’s a key part of the team’s success because of all that he can do.

Congratulations to Terence Newman and Harrison Smith on the honor of being named to the Pro Football Focus Pro Bowl roster.
