Defensive end Brian Robison is reaching a great NFL milestone, as he will reach 100 NFL starts during the Minnesota Vikings week 15 game against the Colts.

In a league where players struggle to have long careers or remain healthy, putting together a successful number of years of play at a high level can be a massive challenge for any athlete, no matter how talented.

Thankfully, Minnesota Vikings defensive end Brian Robison is one tough individual. In fact, the pass rusher and run stuffer has a big milestone coming up in his career thanks to hard work and ability to avoid injury.

Recently, the Minnesota Vikings announced that the week 15 game against the Indianapolis Colts will mark the 100th career start for Robison, a milestone that has only been reached by 3 veteran players on the team’s roster (Newman, Peterson, and Greenway).

But Robison wasn’t keeping track of his starts. In fact, he’s was oblivious to the achievement until it was brought to his attention. Still, the defensive end was pleased to reach a great milestone.

"Somebody told me that earlier this week, so pretty honored to be able to stay healthy,” Robison said. “God has blessed me in that aspect of things. It’s a special deal to be a part of. Anytime you can play this game as long as some of us have been able to play it, to be able to say you’ve got 100 career starts, it’s an awesome experience to be a part of.”"

While 100 career starts is great, Robison has one other mark he wants to reach before the end of the season: reaching double-digit sacks for the first time in his career.

"“It’s something I’ve wanted to do since I’ve gotten in this league. I’ve been close many times but just haven’t been able to do it,” he added. “You’ve just got to take it one play at a time. If it happens, it happens. If not, you just keep chugging along.”"

Congratulations to Brian Robison on reaching such a massive milestone in his career and best of luck to the dynamic pass rusher in reaching double-digit sacks during the 2016 NFL season with the Minnesota Vikings.
