If the Minnesota Vikings are unable to make it into the postseason this year, they are going to do their best to make sure the Green Bay Packers stay home too.
There is no fuel required to fire up the players inside the Minnesota Vikings locker room in the week leading up to a matchup against the rival Green Bay Packers. A number of games between the two teams in recent years have been filled with playoff implications and this Saturday’s matchup will be no different.
The Vikings need to win this week to keep themselves in the hunt for a postseason berth and a win on Saturday would inflict some damage on the Packers’ current playoff chances as well.

However, a win this week does not guarantee a spot in the postseason for Minnesota and their players know that. But if they are not going to be playing extra football this year, the Vikings want to make sure their rivals do not get to either.

“If we can’t go, they can’t go,” said Minnesota cornerback Captain Munnerlyn on Tuesday when asked about potentially playing the role of spoiler this week against Green Bay.
Munnerlyn went on to say that the Vikings will be trying, “to spoil (the Packers) parade and put them in a bad situation,” this Saturday at Lambeau Field.
The cornerback’s comments are encouraging at the least, given how the team performed on the field just a few days ago. Minnesota knows they have to put last Sunday’s loss to the Indianapolis Colts behind them and focus on coming out of Green Bay with a win.
