Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson took to social media on Sunday to defend the decision of the New York Giants wide receivers traveling to Miami for some fun on their day off last week.
It should not be surprising, but a one-day trip down to Miami, Florida to celebrate their 2016 season last Monday has now become the blame for the poor performance put out on the field by the New York Giants wide receivers during their first-round playoff loss to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.
Odell Beckham Jr. was arguably one of the biggest under-performers among the Giants’ pass catchers against the Packers. The star receiver only caught four balls for 28 yards on Sunday.
His 28 receiving yards in Green Bay was Beckham’s lowest total since he had just 23 yards in New York’s Week 4 loss to the Minnesota Vikings.

Beckham and fellow Giants receiver Sterling Shepard combined for a total of four drops on Sunday and it did not take long for Fox play-by-play man Joe Buck to bring up the players’ boat outing down south earlier in the week as the cause for their lack of catches against the Packers.
A number of people took to social media on Sunday following Buck’s comments to defend the New York receivers enjoying themselves in Miami on their day off. One of these people defending the Giants’ pass catchers is someone who is very familiar to Vikings fans.
Minnesota running back Adrian Peterson obviously felt that Buck’s criticisms were unnecessary and had nothing to do with New York’s loss to Green Bay. But Peterson is used to Buck’s outlandish remarks, as the play-by-play man has been criticizing the Vikings for years now.

He can deny any hatred towards Minnesota, but Vikings fans have not forgiven Buck since he got Randy Moss kicked out of town in 2005 and Peterson knows that.
