Adam Thielen explains his biggest goal for the 2017 NFL season
By Adam Carlson
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen knows what he wants from the 2017 NFL season and is working hard to achieve those goals.
When it comes to players who have worked hard to get where they are in the NFL, one of the top players on that list should be Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen. His work ethic and drive have brought him from being an undrafted free agent to a starting wide receiver.
Last season, Thielen led the team in receiving yards and touchdown catches by a wide receiver. This offseason, he is scheduled to become a restricted free agent, but hopes to return to the Vikings.
Recently, Thielen spoke at Polaris Vikings Winterfest according to the official team website and discussed his goals for the 2017 NFL season.

"“I want to get faster and stronger and work on the things I felt like I could work on,” Thielen said during a session with reporters."
Of course, Thielen’s work ethic has never been a concern. Whether it is the practice squad, preseason, special teams, or as a wide receiver, he has always shown a high level of effort even when his number wasn’t being called for the play.
Other than continuing to refine his skills, his major goal is just to be on the football field more often.
"“I guess the biggest goal would be playing time,” Thielen added. “The closest thing to a number goal that I have is, last year, it was being the number three to number two guy and getting those opportunities and seeing where it takes me. My goal is to be a starter, and I feel that I have the ability and have put up the film that proves I can do that in this league.”"

Hopefully, the Minnesota Vikings and Adam Thielen can reach a compromise that is mutually beneficial for both the team and the player, as losing a young and valuable team player this offseason would be a tremendous blow to the franchise.
