The Minnesota Vikings are looking at all the options in free agency for their offensive line, including San Diego Chargers lineman D.J. Fluker.

One of the worst kept secrets in free agency is that the Minnesota Vikings will be exploring as many options as possible when it comes to repairing their struggling offensive line from the 2016 NFL season.

However, offensive linemen, tackles in particular, are likely to be highly coveted this offseason. Many teams are looking to fill holes heading into the draft with capable bodies, and the Vikings are no exception to that rule.

Recently, ESPN’s Josina Anderson took to Twitter to discuss the possible landing locations for free agent D.J. Fluker and the list is much bigger than some may have expected. Here is that tweet:

Fluker was give a 5th year option by the San Diego Chargers for the 2017 season, but decided to release him rather than pay the $8.821 million he would earn.

Teams will likely look at Fluker as a ‘tweener’ who could play either right guard or right tackle, depending on depth the squad has at either of those positions.

In San Diego, he was playing right guard prior to his release.

As a former first round pick, D.J. Fluker has shown the potential to be a road grading player, but never quite realized that with the Chargers.

In fact, he struggled in a big way on a bad San Diego offensive line, earning a  63.7 grade from Pro Football Focus for his play during 2016.

Wherever D.J. Fluker lands, he will have an opportunity to get his career back on track. Physically, he seems to have the tools necessary to succeed, but should the Minnesota Vikings bring in the former Chargers lineman in hopes things can turn around going forward?
