The head coach of the Minnesota Vikings spoke about the team’s injured quarterback on Wednesday during an interview session at the NFL’s owners meetings.
Teddy Bridgewater’s name has been floating around the NFL newswire this week as his recovery from a brutal knee injury is continuing to make progress. Most recently, the Minnesota Vikings’ quarterback posted a clip of himself out on the field throwing a football while standing on his injured knee.
On Monday, Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer talked about how the quarterback’s rehab process is going great and on Wednesday he continued to reiterate the team’s commitment to Bridgewater during an interview at the NFL’s owner meetings.
This should already be known, but Zimmer is a huge fan of his young quarterback. So much so that he likes to treat Bridgewater almost as though he is his adopted son.
All kidding aside, the quarterback’s injury recovery seems to be moving in the right direction. Sam Bradford is expected to lead Minnesota from under center in 2017, but it could be Bridgewater’s job once again come 2018.

Based on what Zimmer said on Wednesday, the Vikings are not even close to kicking Teddy to the curb in favor of another quarterback.
