Fans of the Minnesota Vikings can rejoice as the team is reported to be opening the 2017 NFL season at U.S. Bank Stadium in a prime time contest.
While the entire schedule for the Minnesota Vikings has yet to be released, there is already information trickling out about which teams will be playing during certain weeks and whether or not they are high-profile contests.
One thing that Vikings fans were hoping for was opening the season at home. In the previous 9 years, Minnesota started things out on the road 8 times, which is astoundingly uneven in the scope of the NFL.
However, it appears as though the Vikings will have home field advantage in a prime time match-up during week 1 according to a report from the New Orleans Advocate.
