Case Keenum, QB

Really? A backup quarterback is one of Minnesota’s best additions this offseason? Given the fact that Sam Bradford is not known for being the healthiest of quarterbacks during his time in the NFL, finding a capable backup for him was a priority for the Vikings this year.

Now Keenum is not going to overtake Bradford as the starter at anytime this season, but he does help Minnesota breathe a little easier than last year when they knew Shaun Hill was the next option if Bradford went down.

Keenum has been in the league since 2012, spending time with the Houston Texans and Los Angeles Rams. He even helped lead the Rams to three wins in his first four starts last year.

It may not be the flashiest or most exciting of free-agent signings by the Vikings this offseason, but it was one that had to be made.
