Randy Moss and Cris Carter of the Minnesota Vikings were listed among the best wide receivers ever to play in the National Football League on NFL.com.

NFL.com senior analyst Gil Brandt has been loving his countdown lists lately. He’s broken down the best at many positions where members of the Minnesota Vikings were listed including guard, offensive tackle, and center, but has now turned his attention to the wide receivers.

Once again the Vikings were represented on this list of top 32 wide receivers ever to play in the NFL. In fact, two players from Minnesota’s professional football team were on the list.

The two players included in Brandt’s list from the Vikings are Cris Carter and Randy Moss. Both landed in the top 10 and were huge parts of Minnesota’s offense, leaving a lasting impression on both the league and the franchise.

At #9 was Cris Carter. Carter was a 4th round draft pick of the Philadelphia Eagles before joining being claimed by the Vikings on waivers in 1990. He stayed with the team through the 2001 season before spending his final year with the Miami Dolphins.

Here are Carter’s accomplishments as listed by Brandt:

  • Recorded 13,899 career receiving yards and 130 career receiving touchdowns
  • Voted to eight Pro Bowls, First Team All-Pro two times
  • Ranks No. 5 all-time in career receptions
  • Enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame

Meanwhile, Carter’s teammate Randy Moss earned the #3 spot on the list. He was a first round draft pick of Minnesota in 1998 and stayed with the team through the 2004 season before spending time with the Oakland Raiders and New England Patriots, returning to the Vikings, and then finishing out his career with the Tennessee Titans.

Here are Moss’ listed accomplishments shared by Brandt:

  • Voted to six Pro Bowls, First Team All-Pro four times
  • Recorded 15,292 career receiving yards
  • Scored 156 career receiving touchdowns
  • Holds NFL records for most receiving touchdowns in single season (23) and most in rookie season (17)
