Vikings preseason Week 1: Who to watch on defense vs. the Bills

Entering his fourth season with Minnesota, Exum is going to need a strong preseason to have a legitimate shot at making the Vikings’ final 53 this year. After missing all of last season with a leg injury, he has a lot of ground to make up.
Currently, he is listed on Minnesota’s depth chart as the team’s third free-safety, behind Anthony Harris and Harrison Smith. If he wants to overtake Harris as Smith’s backup to open the season, he is going to have to do a bit more than pick fights with Vikings receivers.
Making a splash against Buffalo on Thursday would certainly help people forget about that recent scuffle.
