Vikings vs 49ers: E.J. Henderson to sound Gjallarhorn preseason week 3

Former Minnesota Vikings linebacker E.J. Henderson will have the honor of sounding the Gjallarhorn before the team’s week 3 preseason game vs the 49ers.

Many fans of the Minnesota Vikings are excited about the team’s third preseason game. Not only is this the ‘dress rehearsal’ of the team in preparation of the 2017 season, but it is also the first game of the year at U.S. Bank Stadium.

While most eyes will be on the football field, there are plenty of other things to note for fans attending the week 3 preseason game against the San Francisco 49ers, including some great pre-game activities.

According to the official website of the Vikings, fans should get to the game early in order to see and participate in some fun activities.

Inside the stadium, there will be SKOL Chants, MVC Junior Cheer Performance, a Color Guard display by the Minnesota Law Enforcement Memorial Association, and the National Anthem being performed by former The Voice finalist Jesse Larson.

Former Minnesota linebacker E.J. Henderson will have the honor of sounding the Gjallarhorn. Henderson was a member of the Vikings from 2003–2011, making the Pro Bowl once and racking up  752 tackles, 15.5 sacks, and 5 interceptions during his career. He also serves as a Youth Football Manager.

In addition Hometown Hero Brennan Miland will be recognized. Plus, fans can get autographs from former Vikings players Mike Morris, Dave Dixon, Willie Howard, and Rufus Bess at the clubs around the stadium.

Outside the facility, there will be a performance by Tripwire on the Pepsi Sound The North Stage and fan engagement areas by several Vikings partners. Plus, the SKOL Line and Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders will perform on the Delta Vikings Village Stage.
