Through three games, Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs of the Minnesota Vikings have the second and third most receiving yards during the 2017 NFL season.

Headed into the 2017 NFL season, there was a lot of concern about the Minnesota Vikings offense. With the first team not scoring a touchdown in the preseason and the team attempting to move on from Adrian Peterson, there was plenty of reasons to be worried.

What wasn’t expected is that the team would have two explosive offensive performances in the first 3 weeks of the NFL season, putting the entire league on notice thanks to two members of the receiving corps.

Here is a post showing the two men with their accumulated yardage through three games and their NFL rank as shared on the official Twitter account of the Minnesota Vikings:

Last season, both Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs flirted with 1,000 yards. Thielen came up 33 yards short of the milestone in 17 games played while Diggs came within 97 yards of the feat in only 13 contests.

This season, both receivers are on track to shatter 1,000 yards. Both pass catchers average 99.7 yards per game, meaning that if they keep this pace through 16 games, they will end the season with approximately 1,595.2 yards.

Headed into Week 4 of the NFL season, Thielen and Diggs trail only Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown, who is setting the bar very high with 354 yards despite only gaining 62 yards in week 2 against Minnesota.

Of course, this would also mean that the excellent quarterback play in Week 1 from Sam Bradford and Week 3 from Case Keenum, as well as strong pass blocking, needs to happen on a regular basis to keep this pace.
