Dalvin Cook ran for an easy touchdown before halftime of the Minnesota Vikings week 4 game against the Detroit Lions on October 1, 2017.
The Minnesota Vikings knew coming into Week 4 of the NFL season they would need some huge plays on both offense and defense to defeat their NFC North rival Detroit Lions on October 1, 2017.
Thankfully, one big play came right before the end of the first half when the Vikings were trying to fight their way to a lead before halftime.
Here is the video of the play as shared on the official Twitter account of the Vikings.

Case Keenum takes the snap from center Pat Elflein. The quarterback turns and hands the ball to rookie running back Dalvin Cook, who starts making his way to run behind the left side of the offensive line.
To his surprise, there was absolutely nothing in front of him. Left tackle Riley Reiff made a great block while left guard Nick Easton kept his man from getting in the lane as well as blocked another defender on getting through.
The result of the play was a wide open lane for Dalvin Cook to get to the end zone. After the short run, he celebrated with teammates at the back of the goal and celebrated the Vikings taking a lead before halftime.

This great play by the Minnesota Vikings was set up by grinding down the Lions defense, great blocks from the offensive line, and good vision from the running back. Hopefully, the team will see a lot more of this from the offense in the future.
