Forbath has missed two of his three kicks at home which is unacceptable. He is kicking with perfect conditions. The Vikings need to score all the points they can and now the kicker is not doing his job.
As for the punter of the Vikings, Ryan Quigley, he continues to shine and is an upgrade from Jeff Locke last season. Quigley had 5 punts in which he averaged 40.2 yards a punt. He was also able to have two punts inside the 20.
Jerick McKinnon had a decent day returning kicks has he had 3 kick returns for an average of 27 yards. His best return on the day was when brought the ball across the 30 close to the Vikings 40-yard line. It was a return of 32 yards.

Overall, the Vikings’ special teams were decent against the Lions. Quigley has been a great punter so far. McKinnon looks like he might have a better handle on kick returns. However, Forbath is being the black spot on special teams and giving Vikings fans flashbacks to Blair Walsh.
