There is good news on the injury report this week for the Minnesota Vikings heading into Week 5 to take on the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football.

For three weeks now, the Minnesota Vikings have turned to backup quarterback Case Keenum to steer the ship as the starter. Now, there is hope that Sam Bradford will be able to return to the helm in Week 5.

Monday Night Football on October 9, 2017 will feature Minnesota traveling to the Windy City to take on the Chicago Bears as they start quarterback Mitchell Trubisky for the first time this season.

But there are more than just quarterbacks on the injury report for Week 5. Here are the players who have been ruled out or may miss Week 5 according to the official Vikings website:

Minnesota Vikings

Out

  • Rashod Hill, OT – knee

Doubtful

  • – none –

Questionable

  • Sam Bradford, QB – knee
  • Jayron Kearse, S – groin

The best possible news on this report is that quarterback Sam Bradford is listed as questionable after being out the last 3 weeks. This gives more hope that he will be under center on Monday night.

However, being without backups Rashod Hill and Jayron Kearse should only be an issue if depth is needed during the game. Hopefully, those positions won’t need to dive into the depth chart in Week 5.

Chicago Bears

Out

  • – none –

Doubtful

  • Nick Kwiatkoski, LB – chest
  • Willie Young, LB – elbow

Questionable

  • Marcus Cooper, CB – back
  • Hronsis Grasu, C – hand

No players have already been ruled out for Chicago, meaning the Bears could be at full strength for their matchup with the Vikings. But they could see some problems with linebacker depth.

Danny Trevathan is suspended for one game because of a hit against the Packers, and if Kwiatkoski and Young are unable to go, they will be struggling in the middle of their defense.
