Minnesota Vikings Power Rankings Round-Up: Week 7 edition

The Minnesota Vikings had a convincing win in Week 6, but expert power rankings show that not everyone is buying into what the team is selling for Week 7.

After defeating the Green Bay Packers at home during Week 6 of the 2017 NFL season, experts are starting to believe that the Minnesota Vikings could have a solid chance at making a postseason appearance.

However, some media outlets are under the impression that it may have less to do with the Vikings and more to do with their competition in the division. Because of that, their spot in the power rankings headed into Week 7 is all over the place.

Here is where many of the experts have the Minnesota Vikings ranked and a short explanation of why they are positioned where they are:

Ranked #7

  • Pro Football Talk – Mike Florio: Case Keenum quietly is becoming a keeper for the Vikings.” (Up 8 spots)
  • Washington Post – Mark Maske: The hit by Anthony Barr that may have ended Aaron Rodgers’s season wasn’t dirty and it wasn’t illegal. But could it have been avoided?” (Up 4 spots)
  • SB Nation – Adam Stites: (Up 15 spots)

Ranked #8

  • Bleacher Report: – Chris Simms: Minnesota controlled almost every aspect of the game against Green Bay, and the final score made it seem closer than it was.” (Up 4 spots)

  • NFL.com – Elliot Harrison: “I wish I hadn’t been conservative when it came to whether or not to have Harrison Smith on my preseason All-Pro team. (Up 8 spots)
