Two members of the Minnesota Vikings appeared on the Pro Football Focus Team of the Week for their Week 6 performance against the Green Bay Packers.

The Minnesota Vikings defeated the Green Bay Packers 23-10 in Week 6 of the NFL season, but there were several players from the team who put together very impressive performance at U.S. Bank Stadium

While the offense struggled to get things going, the Minnesota defense looked dominant. For their efforts, a couple of players were recognized for their individual efforts from a major statistical website.

Here are the two members of the Minnesota Vikings who appeared on the Pro Football Focus Team of the Week for Week 6:

Danielle Hunter, defensive end

"“Hunter generated six total pressured from his 35 pass-rushing snaps, and chipped in with a defensive stop in the run game as well as forcing multiple cuts from the running back at the point of attack.”  PFF Grade: 87.9"

More from The Viking Age

When judging purely by the box score, it looks like Hunter was nearly invisible. The ESPN box score has him credited with only 2 total tackles in the game and no other statistics. However, defensive linemen often do so much that doesn’t show up on the stat sheet, and Hunter’s big day is another example of that.

Harrison Smith, safety

"“[He] notched two sacks from just three plays on the blitz, and broke up another pass, allowing only two receptions from five targets that went for a total of 12 yards.”  PFF Grade: 91.9"

Smith definitely had himself a game in Week 6. ESPN’s box score shows him with 5 total tackles, 1.5 sacks, and 2 passes defended. Of course, it was the one handed diving interception that made the highlight reels, but his play through the entire game was a huge reason the Vikings defense was able to be dominant.
