Fans would love to see Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Stefon Diggs back on the field, but the star pass catcher isn’t sure when he will return.

The Minnesota Vikings are entering Week 7 of the NFL season at 4-2 and sitting on top of the NFC North. While that’s great, the team does have quite a few players dealing with injuries which could have an impact going forward.

Of course, the headlines have involved the knees of three big-name players, with Sam Bradford, Teddy Bridgewater, and Dalvin Cook. However, it is another ailment that should be getting a bit more attention from the media.

Wide receiver Stefon Diggs missed Week 6 against the Green Bay Packers due to a groin injury. Recently, he was asked about his status against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday and here is how he responded according to the Pioneer Press:

More from The Viking Age

"“It’s kind of up in the air right now,” Diggs said before Thursday’s practice. “Each day I’m going to do more and more. I feel good. (My) body feels fine. It’s not up to me. It’s bigger than me.”"

One goal of Diggs for the 2017 season was to play all 16 games of the regular season. While that didn’t happen, the wide receiver is hopeful that he can return to the team soon and be a major contributor.

"“I love football. I love what I do. I just miss my teammates, being out there with them. I’m just going to sharpen my blade, get my body right and hit the ground running.”"

Until Diggs is able to return to the lineup the Vikings will lean on Adam Thielen, Kyle Rudolph, and Laquon Treadwell even more. Plus, the team does have other weapons in the passing game, such as Jarius Wright and Jerick McKinnon.

Despite rumblings on social media that Stefon Diggs was practicing on Thursday, the team verified that he was not participating in activities on their official Twitter account:

Hopefully, Stefon Diggs can return to health and get back on the field with the Minnesota Vikings soon to pair up with Adam Thielen as one of the most dangerous receiving duos in the National Football League.
