Wide receiver Adam Thielen has 2 pretty cool streaks going this season for the Minnesota Vikings, but he’s more concerned about wins than individual honors.

Adam Thielen has established himself as one of the most reliable wide receivers in the NFL. Heading into Week 8, he has the 4th most receiving yards in the league and is on pace to be the Minnesota Vikings first 1,000-yard receiver since Sidney Rice in 2009.

That’s not the only great thing Thielen has going for himself this season. According to Pro Football Focus, he has yet to drop a single pass this season when targeted with a catchable quarterback throw.

Plus, Thielen has hauled in 5 or more passes through each game of the 2017 season, catching 9 in both the season opener against the New Orleans Saints and the Week 6 contest when facing off with the Green Bay Packers.

More from The Viking Age

With all these cool streaks and trends going Adam Thielen’s way, there is one thing he is focused on more than anything else and shared on the official Vikings website:

"“That stuff really doesn’t reflect on how well you’re playing. You have to bring it each week, and it doesn’t matter how many catches or how many yards you have in a season,” Thielen said. “I’m just trying to help this team win games.”"

There is one trend that Thielen would likely want to end though. Despite his excellent play through the first 7 weeks of the NFL season, the wide receiver has yet to score a touchdown in a single game.

"“I get a lot of crap about that, for sure. But that’s part of the game … you can’t think about stats or, ‘Man, I don’t have a touchdown yet. I’ve never been a player like that. I just try to make the plays when they come my way.”"

Which trend do you think will end first? Will Thielen have a game with 4 or fewer catches? Will he drop a pass? Or will he finally score a touchdown? And will he finally be the Minnesota Vikings receiver to be the first since Sidney Rice to gain 1,000 receiving yards in a season? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
