The Viking Age’s own Adam Patrick and fellow co-host Tyler Haag sat down recently to talk about the latest going on with the Minnesota Vikings and the rest of the NFL.

Despite the Minnesota Vikings not playing a game last week, there were still plenty of Vikings-related events that took place around the NFL.

Former Minnesota kicker Blair Walsh reminded everyone in Seattle why the Vikings let him loose in the first place after he missed three kicks (all wide left, of course) during the Seahawks loss to the Washington Redskins last Sunday. On that same day, former Vikings running back Adrian Peterson finished with more than 130 rushing yards for the second time in his last three games as his Arizona Cardinals found a way to get a victory over the San Francisco 49ers.

More from The Viking Age

On this week’s episode of Bleeding Purple, Tyler Haag and myself definitely took a few minutes to talk about what Peterson and Walsh did during their Week 9 games.

But this specific episode began with the two of us going over the NFC North matchup between the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers that took place this past Monday night. The episode was recorded before the game occurred, so Tyler and I tried to figure out which team suffering a loss would most benefit Minnesota.

After discussing the Monday night game, we went on to chat about a number of different topics including…

  • The Week 9 matchup between the Seahawks and Redskins
  • The fact that T.J. Clemmings is actually a starter in the NFL again
  • Washington quarterback Kirk Cousins is not that great
  • Score predictions for the Vikings’ upcoming game against the Redskins
  • Current NFC power rankings
  • Cam Newton’s most recent press conference mishap
  • Teddy return talk
  • Bold predictions for the rest of Minnesota’s season
  • A.J. Green vs. Jalen Ramsey
  • Tyler jinxing the Vikings
