The Minnesota Vikings are on a 7 game winning streak with a 9-2 record and sit atop of the NFC North, still ‘everybody in this locker room is hungry’.
It’s a good time to be the Minnesota Vikings. Winning 7 straight games and sitting on top of the NFC North are impressive accomplishments for a team that has suffered some big setbacks this season, but they are far from complacent.
During a session with Twin Cities media members on Wednesday, quarterback Case Keenum let reporters in on what the feeling is like in the locker room even though the future is looking very bright for the franchise.
Here is what Keenum said according to the official website of the Minnesota Vikings:
"“We’ve yet to accomplish everything we want to accomplish, and we’ve got a lot of work ahead of us, but we’re hungry for it. I think everybody in this locker room is hungry.”"

The hunger these players have is on display every single week. Not a single player has been missing a step and many of the team’s starters are among the highest rated players at their position.
Despite this success, the focus for this season isn’t on statistics or even the regular season. The ultimate goal for this is longer down the line, but they have to accomplish that goal one week at a time.
"“You’ve got a team that works. I think everybody in this locker room wants the same thing, and we all want it really bad. We go to work each week like it’s a new week, like it’s the only week, and we put everything we’ve got into that week. We know that the past doesn’t matter, the future doesn’t matter; the only thing we can control is this week.”"

Time will tell how the Minnesota Vikings end the season, but between the mood of the locker room and the success on the field, the sky could be the limit for a team who lost their starting quarterback and running back early in the season if they continue to act on their hunger.
