Which Minnesota Vikings players should you have on your Fantasy Football roster in Week 15 against the Cincinnati Bengals and who should be on the bench?

By now, you’re either in your fantasy football playoffs or you’re waiting on next year’s draft. For those still chasing a championship, there are some Minnesota Vikings players you may want to check out in Week 15.

But there are also others that you might want to stay away from. Depending on your roster and availability of free agents, you may want to look elsewhere if you have some Vikings on your team you don’t feel comfortable starting.

Before diving into Week 15, let’s take a look back at Week 14’s Fantasy Football Forecast to see what I got right and what I didn’t quite nail.

Where I was right in Week 14

  • Adam Thielen, WR
  • Stefon Diggs, WR
  • Kai Forbath, K
  • Case Keenum, QB
  • Vikings Defense

I was correct in saying that Thielen, Diggs, and Keenum would reach their projected point totals and Forbath and Keenum would exceed theirs. In addition, the Vikings D came nowhere near their expected total, as predicted.

Where I was wrong in Week 14

  • Latavius Murray, RB
  • Jerick McKinnon, RB
  • Kyle Rudolph, TE

I totally overestimated McKinnon’s role in this game and didn’t see Murray getting as many touches as he did. In addition, I anticipated that the Panthers would keep Rudolph from scoring a TD…which did not happen.

Should exceed projection in Week 15

  • Latavius Murray, running back (13.5)
  • Adam Thielen, wide receiver (15.8)
  • Stefon Diggs, wide receiver (12.5)
  • Case Keenum, quarterback (16.1)

Keenum continues to be hugely underestimated in ESPN projections despite solid performances each week. Meanwhile, the wide receivers should see a lot of action during this game with so many injuries to the tight ends.

More from The Viking Age

Projected just about right in Week 15

  • Kai Forbath, kicker (9.6)
  • Jerick McKinnon, running back (13.9)

Forbath should get some opportunities to kick a few more field goals this week as well as some extra points. Also, McKinnon will mostly be used in passing situations. This means his point total will heavily depend on how much he is targeted…and with the offensive line issues, he could be blocking more than catching.

Won’t meet projections in Week 15

  • Vikings D (8.6)
  • Kyle Rudolph, tight end (10.5)

Honestly, I don’t think Rudolph will play in Week 15 due to an ankle injury. Even if he does play, he won’t be his usual self, and Minnesota might be better off using a healthy Treadwell in his place. Also, don’t expect the Vikings D to get many points. They will pressure Dalton, but I still expect A.J. Green to have a big impact on the D’s points.
