As an early 100th birthday present, the Minnesota Vikings surprised Millie Wall with tickets to watch the team in the Divisional Round of the playoffs.

Many fans of the Minnesota Vikings have been waiting their whole life for the chance to see the team play a playoff game at home. One such fan got the opportunity to do just that this week, but there is more to the story.

Millie Wall has been a fan of the Vikings since the team came into existence in 1961. Now at 99 years old, she has never had the opportunity to see the team play a game in the postseason, that streak ends with the Divisional Round of the playoffs.

The official website of the Minnesota Vikings recently revealed that they sent an early 100th birthday present to Millie and it contained a letter and a special gift. Check out her opening the present in this clip from the Vikings official Twitter account:

Millie was clearly in disbelief during this video, not expecting such an awesome gift to come from the Vikings. The team spoke with her granddaughter Ashley about the experience since she will be accompanying Millie to the game according to the official website of the team.

More from The Viking Age

"“Obviously this is a very exciting season for the Vikings, and I was just thinking, ‘Should I be watching the game on the field, or should I be watching my grandma’s reaction to that game?’"

One thing that Mille may have a hard time getting into the game at U.S. Bank Stadium is her brick. The hardcore fan keeps a foam rubber brick next to her chair to throw at the television when the Vikings do something she doesn’t care for. And since she got tired of getting up and getting the brick, she tied a string to it so she could reel it back in and reload.

Millie, Ashley, and the rest of the family are very thankful for the experience and will hopefully be loud for the big game on Sunday.

"“I think it’s going to just be a really great experience,” Ashley continued. “We’re so excited as a family to watch her and watch everything come to life.”"
