The Minnesota Vikings added two players to their practice squad and announced the signings of Dieugot Joseph and Caushaud Lyons and put Dylan Bradley on IR.

While much of the focus of the Minnesota Vikings is being placed on the upcoming playoff game against the New Orleans Saints in the divisional round, there is other work that needs to be done regarding the franchise.

For example, practice squad defensive tackle Dylan Bradley was placed on the injured list, opening up the second spot for the Vikings to bring in more talent to observe and analyze according to the official team website.

To fill those two spots Minnesota signed Dieugot Joseph and Caushaud Lyons to the practice squad.

Dieugot Joseph is a rookie offensive tackle from Florida International. He was an undrafted free agent by the Chicago Bears, who placed him on their practice squad. Just 17 days later, the Baltimore Ravens signed Joseph to their active roster, but was waived on October 10th and then was placed on their practice squad.

More from The Viking Age

All this attention gives some hope that Joseph could be a solid project to develop. At 23 years old, the 6’6″ 302-pound offensive lineman appears to have some potential for success.

Caushaud Lyons is a second-year defensive tackle from Tusculum. He spent time with 6 other NFL teams before being signed to the Vikings practice squad, being on the practice squad or active roster of the Buccaneers, Steelers, Titans, Rams, Lions, and Bears.

The  6’5″ 284-pound defensive lineman was All-SAC 1st Team and Beyond Sports Network NCAA Division II All-America Football third team in 2014 during his time in college.
