Report: New York Jets finalizing deal with quarterback Teddy Bridgewater
By Adam Carlson
The New York Jets are reported to be finalizing a deal with former Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater to become part of Gang Green.
Coming off the breaking news that the Minnesota Vikings will be signing free agent quarterback Kirk Cousins, the market for other passers like Sam Bradford and Teddy Bridgewater started to heat up.
It didn’t take long for those names to be linked to other franchises. Sam Bradford is expected to sign with the Arizona Cardinals and Teddy Bridgewater has also been reported as finding a suitor for his services during the 2018 NFL season.
According to CBS Sports analyst Bryant McFadden on Twitter, Bridgewater is finalizing a deal that will make him a member of the New York Jets. Check out the tweet here:
Terms of the deal have not been revealed, but the New York Jets may be one of the most interesting and strange fits for Bridgewater considering the weather and supporting cast the team has to offer.

Teddy Bridgewater played in 30 games for the Minnesota Vikings after being a first-round draft pick in 2014. During that time, he completed 64.7% of his passes while throwing 28 touchdowns and 22 interceptions.
In his 28 starts, the Vikings had a 17-11 record and notched 4 game-winning drives.
Most recently, Bridgewater saw action during garbage time of the Vikings Week 15 game against the Cincinnati Bengals where he attempted two passes, one was incomplete and the other was intercepted.
The Jets needed to find a quarterback pretty badly this year. They only had Bryce Petty and Joel Stave under contract, meaning New York will likely want to find one more body for competition or depth.

With the Minnesota Vikings moving on from their past quarterbacks, it is nice to see Teddy Bridgewater getting other opportunities. We at The Viking Age would like to wish him the best of luck going forward.
