The Viking Age’s Adam Patrick and Sporting Sota’s Tyler Haag discuss what went down for the Minnesota Vikings during the 2018 NFL Draft.

The 2018 NFL Draft has come and gone and while some out there may not be too pleased with the results, the Minnesota Vikings ended up with some pretty talented players.

Drafting late in each round makes it seem like the Vikings missed out on a lot of prospects. But Minnesota was still able to land a great group of players this year.

This week on the Bleeding Purple Podcast, Tyler and I went over the 2018 Draft results and a number of other Vikings-related topics including…

  • Minnesota exercises Wayne’s fifth-year option
  • Vikings re-sign Terence Newman
  • Cayleb Jones suspended for PED violation
  • The first round of the 2018 Draft was very exciting
  • Vikings pick Mike Hughes in the first round
  • Did Minnesota miss out on an interior offensive lineman?
  • Past drafts look better because the Vikings were worse
  • Does Hughes’ arrival spell the end for Marcus Sherels?
  • Instant draft grades are not the greatest thing in the world
  • Minnesota really drafted a kicker again
  • Vikings drafted a number of players with poor injury histories
  • Please don’t make an NFL comeback attempt Ryan Shazier
  • Teddy’s probably not going to remain with the Jets
  • Vikings’ 2018 UDFA class
  • People really love mock drafts
  • Michael Vick is a liar
  • Is the SKOL chant getting overused?
