Mike Remmers
When the Vikings agreed to a five-year deal with Remmers in 2017, the thought was that he was being brought in to be the team’s starting right tackle.
He did spend a good amount of time as Minnesota’s right tackle last season, but the team also played him at both guard spots after Nick Easton went down with a broken ankle in Week 16.
It is unclear if the Vikings were happy with Remmers’ performance on the inside or not last year. But if Minnesota was actually satisfied with his play, he may also end up being a possible candidate for the team’s opening at right guard this season.
Despite his newfound versatility on the inside, one should still expect Remmers to enter training camp as the leading candidate to open the year as the Vikings’ starting right tackle.
