One Vikings player listed among Reggie Wayne’s top 10 wide receivers

The Minnesota Vikings dynamic duo of Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs are great but only one is among the top 10 at the position according to Reggie Wayne.
Last season, both Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen were a quarterback’s dream. The two wide receivers helped to make the Minnesota Vikings passing game strong by putting on strong performances for quarterback Case Keenum.
During the 2017 NFL season, the two pass catchers combined for 2,125 yards and 12 touchdowns, making them one of the most dangerous duos in the NFL and a trusted pair to throw the ball to.
When former Indianapolis Colts receiver and current NFL.com analyst Reggie Wayne compiled his list of the top 10 wide receivers entering the 2018 season, only one of the two leading pass catchers in Minnesota made the list.
Coming in at the ninth position on the list, Stefon Diggs shocked fans by reeling in the Minneapolis Miracle in the Divisional Round of the playoffs against the New Orleans Saints, but also impressed in the regular season by snagging 8 touchdowns.

Wayne likes what he’s seen from Diggs, but believes the best is yet to come for the young pass catcher now that he has quarterback Kirk Cousins to throw him the football.
"“I debated putting Jarvis Landry in this spot, but Diggs stretches the field more than the new Browns wideout. Diggs plays with his heart on his sleeve and so much passion. Now that the Vikings have Kirk Cousins at QB, Diggs is primed to have his first 1,000-yard season.”"
It’s strange to see the Diggs make the list despite fewer catches and yardage than Thielen, but seeing a Minnesota receiver on the list at all is great to see after so many years of the Vikings struggling to get production at the position.
Plus, it makes sense to see players like Julio Jones, Antonio Brown, DeAndre Hopkins, and other top pass catchers above Diggs based on the number of catches, yardage, and touchdowns. However, a big 2018 season could see Stefon rising up these lists in the future.
