Fans of the Green Bay Packers are still complaining about the hit delivered to their quarterback by the Minnesota Vikings linebacker last season.

Ever since Week 6 of the 2017 season, Minnesota Vikings linebacker Anthony Barr has been enemy number one to Green Bay Packers fans.

Midway through the first quarter of the matchup last year, Barr delivered a hit to Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers that ended up breaking the signal caller’s collarbone. The Vikings linebacker was not penalized or fined for the hit.

Rodgers ended up missing all but one of Green Bay’s final 10 games last season due to his injury. The Packers were unable to do much of anything without their star quarterback and it resulted in them missing the playoffs for the first time since 2008.

Ever since the hit in Week 6, Green Bay’s fans have not stopped complaining about how Barr ruined their 2017 season.

The Vikings and Packers will meet again in 2018 in Week 2 when Minnesota travels to Green Bay’s’ Lambeau Field. For the matchup, one Green Bay fan has suggested a couple of shirts for people to wear to the stadium.

Good for this fan trying to express his artistic side, but it’s time for him and other Packers fans to move on from making Barr their scapegoat for the team’s struggles last season.

The Vikings linebacker had nothing to do with Green Bay’s roster not being capable of accomplishing anything without their starting quarterback. Minnesota played the majority of last season with backup Case Keenum as their starter and they still ended up with 13 wins and a trip to the NFC Championship.

Barr had nothing to do with the Packers’ defense giving up the fourth-most touchdown passes in the NFL last year. The Minnesota linebacker was also not the reason Rodgers threw three interceptions in his one-game return against the Carolina Panthers in Week 15 last season.

It’s cool to find someone to blame for your team’s struggles. But Green Bay fans still blaming Barr’s clean hit on Rodgers for the team’s playoff streak coming to an end last year just makes them look foolish.
