The fourth of July was a great day for many people, but Adam Thielen and Kevin McDermott took the day to announce their Vikings families are getting larger.

The 4th of July is a great time for Americans. The warm weather, celebrations, and fireworks displays bring people together to enjoy a holiday, which is great since Minnesota Vikings football isn’t on television screens.

That also means players and their families get some time together. Since NFL players can spend a lot of time on the road, the time they spend together can be a wonderful blessing. But nothing is greater than the blessings that Adam Thielen and Kevin McDermott made on social media over the week.

The Vikings wide receiver and tight end revealed to the public that they both will be growing their family soon, as both Minnesota wives are expecting a child to take on the next generation or purple pride.

Adam Thielen and his family made the announcement on Instagram with a great photo and the surprise on a board:

Thielen married his wife Caitlin in 2015 and didn’t waste much time in building the family. It didn’t take long until their first son, a child named Asher came along in 2016. Now, the family looks to be expanding again, with child number two on the way.

Meanwhile, Kevin McDermott made his announcement on Twitter on July 1st,  putting the reveal in the text portion of the tweet:

McDermott and his wife Lauren are expecting their first child. It’s great to see them taking the opportunity to do so, especially after he signed a four-year contract extension with the team, keeping him around through the 2020 season.
