Despite signing a deal with the Minnesota Vikings that will pay him at least $84 million over the next three seasons, the quarterback is still careful with his money.

New Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins has never been the type of person to make sure everyone around him knows he is a multi-millionaire. Cousins is pretty simple-minded when it comes to luxury, despite being one of the highest paid signal callers in the NFL right now.

The Vikings quarterback has spent the last few offseasons living in his parents basement in Holland, Michigan. Cousins has admitted in the past that he and his wife have done this to save money on rent (even though he made more than $40 million in six years with the Washington Redskins).

His car collection is not exactly what one would call lavish. Cousins is super proud of his 2000 GMC Savana conversion van and he spoiled himself last year when he bought a 2006 Mercedes S65 AMG.

Even after signing a huge contract with Minnesota this offseason that will pay him at least $84 million over the next three years, the quarterback still acts like he works an average, nine to five job.

In keeping up with his frugal nature, Cousins posted an image on Twitter on Monday of a photo he clearly got developed at Walgreens.

He probably could have ordered the picture from some fancy photography store or bought an expensive printer to create the image himself. But apparently Cousins could not resist the same-day-pickup option offered by Walgreens.

It seems pretty safe to assume that Minnesota’s new quarterback is not going to become the next athlete to blow all of his money on expensive cars, houses, and other unnecessary items.

Although, Cousins might get a little adventurous one day and take his family out to dinner at Shake Shack.
